Pool Rules
We strive to create a safe, family friendly place for members and guests. Please note the following rules:
General Rules:
- DO NOT TALK TO LIFEGUARDS ON STAND.
- Do NOT come to the pool if you or a family member have a fever, are feeling sick, have an open wound, etc.
- Please wash your hands with soap regularly.
- Lost & Found will be disposed in the trash at the end of each Monday.
- Cashless system for guests and snacks. All guest fees and snack money on your account are NON-REFUNDABLE. (meaning you don’t use it, then you lose it)
- Food and drinks are permitted only in designated areas. (NO FOOD OR DRINK EXCEPT WATER ON THE UPPER DECK)
Admission to the Pool Facility:
- Any member whose payment of dues has been validated by the Club Treasurer and is determined to be a member in good standing, will be admitted when recognized and properly identified by club management or staff. Members may be asked to show identification to enter.
- All members (including children) must be signed in at the desk before admission to the pool area.
- Emergency notification forms must be on file in the clubhouse. NO FORM = NO ADMISSION
- Admission and behavior of all children is the responsibility of their parents.
- No unaccompanied children under the age of 12 without parent/guardian supervision. Guardian supervision must be 16 years of age or older.
- Keep all non-swimming children within arms reach of a guardian who is 16 years of age or old.
Member Responsibilities:
- The Pool Manager has the authority to close the pool when he/she feels it is necessary in the interest of safety, health and general welfare. Once the pool is closed, it will not reopen until the Manager deems the hazards are gone. Parents who have left children at the pool should call the club house when there is inclement weather. The Pool will *try* to update the Lily Flagg Pool Facebook page with updates on the status of the pool.
- The club assumes no responsibility to members, their dependents, or guests (when/if permitted) for any accident or injury to any person or property.
- The club will not be responsible for loss or damage of personal property.
- Patrons are responsible for discarding all trash.
General Behavior:
- Please be courteous to other LFP members including walkways, chairs, and tables. If you move chairs for your family, please return the chairs to where you found them.
- Do not congregate in the pool clubhouse.
- The club is a family oriented, membership owned facility. The Pool Manager and Staff have the authority to refuse admittance to, or require the immediate departure from, the facility area of any members, or guests (when/if permitted) who are not conducting themselves in a proper and socially acceptable manner.
- Members are responsible for the conduct of their children and guests (when/if permitted). The Pool Staff will call the member in the event of a problem.
- The Pool Staff is responsible for the safe operation of the facility and cannot act as babysitters. Unsupervised children who must repeatedly be disciplined by the Pool Staff will be required to leave pool area and wait in the clubhouse for parental pick up.
- The Club facility is private property; trespassing during non- operating hours is prohibited. Violations should be reported to the Board of Directors and the Huntsville Police Department for appropriate action.
- Alcoholic beverages, narcotics, firearms, or other dangerous weapons, are not permitted on Club property.
- The speed limit on Club property is 5 miles per hour.
Sanitary and Safety Provisions:
- No member will knowingly enter the pool or permit a child or guest (when/if permitted) to do so with a contagious disease such as a cold, ear fungus, skin disease, etc. or while having open sores or wounds.
- There will be no horseplay on the facility property. Swimming and diving rules are posted and will be followed!
- There will be no smoking on the club property. This includes electronic cigarettes. This is a smoke free facility!
- No hanging or holding on to the swimming lane floats.
- No glass containers.
- Food and drinks are permitted only in designated areas. (NO FOOD OR DRINK EXCEPT WATER ON THE UPPER DECK)
- Pets are NOT allowed inside the clubhouse or the fenced pool area. Pets are allowed on the property, but you must pick up after your pet.
- Children must be potty trained to enter the pool without a swim diaper. Swim diapers are available for purchase at the front desk.
Bathrooms:
- We will be cleaning the bathrooms at regular intervals.
- Do not congregate in the restrooms, keep proper distance in the changing area. If this becomes a problem we will limit number of people in the bathroom.
Guests, Parties, and Concessions:
- Concessions will be cashless and non-refundable. (meaning you don’t use it, then you lose it)
- Guests:
- All guests must be registered and will only be admitted when accompanied by a member in good standing. It is the responsibility of the member to register and
supervise their guests. - Guest fee = $5.00, Out of Town Guest = Free
• Note: Out-.of-town guests are defined as those guests living outside of the North Alabama area who are overnight guests in the member’s home. Your friends who live in Arab, Gurley, Madison, Meridianville, New Hope, etc. are not out of town guests. They are paying guests. Guest fees will be charged at the time of entry into the pool area. This fee applies to ALL guests, including small children. 10+ guests qualify as a party.

- Pool parties:
- Only Lily Flagg Pool members can host parties. Guest fees apply.
- See Pool Party application for details on during the day and after hours parties.
- Pool party application and deposit must be filled out and paid before date is secured.
- Non-members may not hold a party.
- No pavilion rentals after 6pm or later on Thursdays due to family night.
- No after hour parties on Thursday or Saturday night as closing is 9pm versus 8pm.
- Only Lily Flagg Pool members can host parties. Guest fees apply.
Pool Areas, Decks, and Seating:
- Pool chlorine will be monitored multiple times a day.
- Please do not pile backpacks and belongings on tables. Please use the hooks for backpacks or the chairs.
- Members are welcome to bring their own chairs.
- Children ages 5 and younger are permitted to play in the baby pool and with the toddler toys.
Fenced Play Area (Lily’s Pasture):
- Please close the gates after entering or exiting. It is not a dog park, it is intended for children and families.
- Please be courteous to others and treat the playground equipment with respect.
- If there is a maintenance issue, please notify the manager.
Tennis Courts and Basketball Court:
- Rules are posted on the gates.
- Please treat the court surface, nets, and goal with respect.
- No horseplay.
- Soft sole shoes only.
- No rollerblades, skateboards, bikes, scooters, etc on the courts.
- Do not hang on the basketball rim.
- Only use a basketball with a basketball goal.
