Pool Rules

We strive to create a safe, family friendly place for members and guests. Please note the following rules:

  • Patrons must be members or accompanied by a membercow pointing right
  • Children under 10 must be accompanied by an adult
  • Use the toilet and shower before entering the pool
  • Those with illness, wounds, or infection should not swim
  • Proper and appropriate swim attire required for all swimmers
  • No alcohol, smoking, e-cigarettes, glass, or firearms on the club property
  • Food and drink in designated areas only
  • Patrons are responsible for discarding all trash
  • No pets allowed inside the fence
  • Follow all directives of the lifeguards and manager
  • Rough housing, running, using profane language, and other forms of disruptive and disorderly behavior are prohibited
  • Do not talk to the lifeguards while on the stand
  • Those under 16 are required to take a 10 minute rest break each hour

The pool will close for inclement weather at the discretion of the manager on duty and is required for thunder, lightning, or heavy rain.

Diving Rules

  • One person on the board at a time
  • Wait to jump until the previous diver has reached the ladder
  • One bounce per dive
  • Jump straight off the board and swim to the nearest ladder
  • No horseplay or hanging on the diving boards
  • No toys or goggles allowed while diving
  • Only floatation vests allowed, no floaties or water wings on divers
  • Diving well may be used for games on the half hour of odd hours at the discretion of the lifeguard

Address any concerns to the manager on duty. Violations can result in loss of club privileges.

Admission to the Pool Facility

  • Any member whose payment of dues has been validated by the Club Treasurer and is determined to be a member in good standing, will be admitted when recognized and properly identified by club management or staff. Members may be asked to show identification to enter.
  • All members (including children) must be registered before admission to the pool area.
  • Emergency notification forms must be on file in the clubhouse. NO FORM = NO ADMISSION
  • Admission and behavior of all children is the responsibility of their parents.

Guest Swimming Privileges

All guests must be registered and will only be admitted when accompanied by a member in good standing. It is the responsibility of the member to register and supervise their guests.

Guest fee = $5.00, Out of Town Guest = Free

Note: Out-of-town guests are defined as those guests living outside of the North Alabama area who are overnight guests in the member’s home. Your friends who live in Arab, Gurley, Madison, Meridianville, New Hope, etc. are not out of town guests. They are paying guests.

Guest fees will be charged at the time of entry into the pool area. This fee applies to ALL guests, including small children.

10+ guests qualify as a party.

Member Responsibilities

  • The club will not be responsible for loss or damage of personal property.
  • The Pool Manager has the authority to close the pool when he/she feels it is necessary in the interest of safety, health and general welfare. Once the pool is closed, it will not reopen until the Manager deems the hazards are gone. Parents who have left children at the pool should call the club house when there is inclement weather.
  • Children under the age of ten will be admitted only when accompanied by a parent or guardian older than 16 years of age.
  • The club assumes no responsibility to members, their dependents, or guests for any accident or injury to any person or property.
  • Patrons are responsible for discarding all trash.

Sanitary and Safety Provisions

  • No member will knowingly enter the pool or permit a child or guest to do so with a contagious disease such as a cold, ear fungus, skin disease, etc. or while having open sores or wounds.
  • There will be no horseplay on the facility property.
  • Swimming is not allowed in the diving well except at the discretion of the Manager. “Gator” is allowed every odd hour from the half hour to rest break.
  • Swimming and diving rules are posted and will be followed!
  • There will be no smoking on the club property. This includes electronic cigarettes. This is a smoke free facility!
  • No hanging or holding on to the swimming lane floats.
  • No glass containers.
  • Food and drinks are permitted only in designated areas.
  • Pets are NOT allowed inside the clubhouse or the enclosed area.
  • Children/ all guests must be potty trained to enter the pool without a swim diaper. Swim diapers are available for purchase at the front desk.

General Behavior

  • The club is a family oriented, membership owned facility. The Pool Manager and Staff have the authority to refuse admittance to, or require the immediate departure from, the facility area of any members, or guests who are not conducting themselves in a proper and socially acceptable manner. Members are responsible for the conduct of their children and guests. The Pool Staff will call the member in the event of a problem.
  • The Pool Staff is responsible for the safe operation of the facility and cannot act as babysitters. Unsupervised children who must repeatedly be disciplined by the Pool Staff will be required to leave pool area and wait in the clubhouse for parental pick up.
  • The Club facility is private property; trespassing during non-operating hours is prohibited. Violations should be reported to the Board of Directors and the Huntsville Police Department for appropriate action.
  • Alcoholic beverages, narcotics, firearms, or other dangerous weapons, are not permitted on Club property.
  • The speed limit on Club property is 5 miles per hour.
